| Welcome to the Wonderful Worlds of Steve! | |
|---|---|
![]() Steve |
Steve is a little blue fellow making his way through two overlapping worlds. One world consists of his office job, his apartment and the other drole realities of the town where he lives. The second, more colorful world is one in which Steve (and often those around him) are wisked away to outlandish circumstances in foreign lands, historical moments and far away planets. It is in this other world where he finds himself confronted by robot telemarketers, movie screen monsters and credit-card-pushing demons. The transition between the realities is a fluid one, and frequently elements of one world are dragged into the other. |
![]() Louis |
Louis is Steve's absurd roommate. He is a barely-employed clown/comedian who is usally late on rent and punctual in driving Steve crazy. Louis prefers to always keep his clown outfit on, even when he's just hanging out in the apartment eating cereal. |
Becky |
Becky is a coworker of Steve and serves as the soothing mother figure in his life. When Steve is distraught, Becky is on the scene to give him sacharine sweet advice. One suspects, however, that she might be operating without all of her screws tightly fastened. |
Shawn |
Shawn is another of Steve's coworkers and serves as a sage-like mentor in his life. Unfortunately, his wisdom and philosphy are usually lost on the hapless Steve. |
Aliens |
Steve is often abducted and/or interrogated by two young aliens from another planet. Their mission is to gather information on mankind for a term paper they are writing, but Steve and his peculiar tendencies do not make for the brightest representation of the human race. |
![]() Hanley |
Hanley is a work buddy of Steve and possibley the only individual whom Steve perceives as being below him on the totum pole of characters. Hanley's soft-spoken, easy going demeanor contrasts with Steve's brashness. |
Robots |
"Robots seems to be every nowadays, " laments Steve, and they are most annoyingly found on the other end of telemarketing and customer service calls. Steve can't stand robots for a number of reasons, but he he particularly hates them for calling in the middle of a good show. |
Mr. Clayton |
Mr. Clayton is the president of the company where Steve works, and he acts as a father figure in the strip. |
Karen |
Karen is the unreponsive object of Steve's crush in the office. |
Todd |
Todd is Steve's supervisor at the office. He has the hair-greying task of getting Steve to actually DO something productive. |
